951 viewsCan you believe it. Thirty six years of sitting up side down in a parts department and its finally coming out to be restored. In aprrox. 1972/73 I purchased this corvette from a gentleman in burnaby B.C. Canada with the intention of building an all out show car. I didnt know i was buying an actual GM show car. The serial number on the certificate of title wasnt the same as a 1953 or1954 corvette. It read 4-106701260. I didnt clue in that it was a 1953 corvette until I pulled the body off the frame and found the original serial number stamp E53F001260 a 1953 # 260 .What a surpise! I wanted to build a show car and bought a show car and a 1953 corvette show car as well ! (2 votes)

406 viewsthis is the first invoice / first bill of sale from general motors to the first owner. its signed by E.Brockman who i believe was one of the top brass at gm at the time. take note of the date of sale. it was Aug.15/1957. it took him three years to talk GM into selling him the car. you can see who the first owner was. i have talked with him in person and some of the stories he has about the corvette are incredable. if you have any questions feel free to email me at bruce@1954motoramacorvette.com i will be posting a current interview with the original owner of this rare corvette. he is the person that is responsible for saving this corvette!the interview is in the process as we speak feb 22/2008 (2 votes)
